He is survived by: his wife Maria Refugio Valdez; and his sons, Jose E. Aranda Jr., Mario Aranda and Ricardo Aranda. He is also survived by spouses, along with 15 grand kids and 3 siblings.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home (6620 W Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638). A prayer was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (813 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608).

Jose was a charitable person, generous with money and made contributions to political campaigns to the city of Chicago an avid man with a passion for many things, such as machinist, creating tools, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, medicine, invention for upholstery tools & machines, art & crafts, script lettering, EDM designs out of metals, sciences and much more.
