In the vast expanse of eternity, Josephine Virginia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Josephine Virginia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Magdalena Filar and John Filar; her son Richard; her brother Frank; and her brother-in-law John Dawiec.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice (Joseph Cernik); her grandchildren, Caitlin and Kyle; her sister Sophia; her nieces, Joan and Karen; and her caregiver Marilyn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bruno Church (4751 S Harding Ave, Chicago, IL 60623).
