With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jozef Lapczynski of Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 1, 2025 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Jozef may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jozef touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Lapczynska; his children, Michael, Stanley and Emily Lapczynski; his siblings, Stanisław Lapczynski and Maria Głębinska; his mother Elżbieta Lapczynska; his mother-in-law Anna Janczy-Dziatkowicz; Jozef. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium (7861 88th Ave, Justice, IL 60458). A prayer will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Daniel the Prophet Church (5358 S Nashville Ave, Chicago, IL 60638).
