He was predeceased by: his spouse Elodia Rangel; and his children, Francisco Javier Rangel and Angelica Rangel. He is survived by: his children, Luis Rangel and Norma Rangel-Aponte (Eric); his grandchildren, Marco Flores, Antonio Flores, Richard Rangel, Isabel Rangel, Eric Jr. Aponte, Maya I. Aponte and Ethan Rangel; his great grandchildren, Isabella Flores and Carlos Flores; his siblings, David, Cecilia, Arnulfo, Jose Refugio, Virginia, Pedro, Magdaleno, Jorge, Margarita and Rodolfo; and his close friend Bobby. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews and his beloved pet.
