She was predeceased by : her brothers, Xavier Hennessey (Anita) and Jack Curley (late Geraldine); and her nieces and nephews, Kathy, Frank, John, Jenny, Tim, Tara, Jason and Retired C. P. S. Teacher.

She is survived by : her sons, John, Michael and Grady; her friend Lisa Scavone; her children, Hannah and Zachary; and her sister-in-law Kathleen Allen.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Barnabas Church (10134 S Longwood Dr, Chicago, IL 60643). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (6001 W 111th St, Alsip, IL 60803).

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

“I would like to extend my sympathy to the family of Margaret. I have many fun memories, playing tennis and bridge with Margaret and her zest to always be the winner. She would love to tell stories of all the Notre Dame games she got to participate in as as an usher. She was an excellent teacher and administrator for the Chicago Public Schools. May she rest in peace”
