He is survived by: his wife Alicia Nunez; his children, Mario Jr. (Lily) and Alicia (Enrique); his grandchildren, Sofia Ixtali, Mario III and Itzel Aurora; and his siblings, Ruben, Francisco, Olivia, Marta and Guillermina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
