He is survived by: his wife Wendy Liles; his close friend Barbara Gilbert; his daughter Katherine Castro (Cyrus); his grandson Aiden Castro of Chicago, IL; his sisters, Lois Rem of Sioux Falls, SD, Ruth Benedett (Bob) of Fremont Hills, MO and Susan Bentz (Jay) of Sioux Falls, SD; his nieces and nephews, Tom, Laura Benedett, Clara, Will, Chan Bentz, Hannah and Joseph Norem; and also Peter Haugen.
