She was predeceased by: her husband Stephen; her parents, Joseph Kovats and Josephine Kovats (Sagmeister); and her siblings, Rose Marks (late Ed), Irma Wells (late Ed), Matt Kovats and Josephine Petti (late Rudy).

She is survived by: her children, Michael (Janis), Stephen (Melissa), Joseph (Kathy) and Gina Henderson (Stephen); her grandchildren, Eric Eckert, Jake Eckert (Jen), Morgan Kelly (Kevin), Bill Pappas (Niki) and Tom Pappas (Jennifer); and her great grandchildren, River Eckert, Emmett Kelly, Eli, Grace Pappas, Khloe and Kira Pappas.

In lieu of lowers, memorials may be made to The Women's Center, 5116 N. Cicero Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60630.
