She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schwind and Rose Anne Schwind; her spouse Thomas A Herling; and her children, Rosanne Herling-Laurino (late William) and Anthony Herling (Sharon).

She is survived by: her siblings, Jack Schwind (Karen), Daniel Schwind (Janee), Rosaleen Moyer (late William) and Patricia Meier; her children, Sean Herling (Kathleen), Daniel Herling (Ronald Crook), Peggy Janes (late Steven), Thomas P. Herling (late Nancy), Eileen Corter (Darryl) and AJ; her grandchildren, A. J., Sean, Steve, Chris, Danny, Tommy, Jamie Lee, Patrick, Abigail, Nicky, Eric, Colleen, Scarlett and Pierce; her aunt Rosie; and also Dorothy Rickert.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Windy City Community Church (6131 N Newark Ave, Chicago, IL 60631). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.

Her kids or grandkids can speak to many of those things!Maureen began a long and slow journey with Alzheimer's in her 70s yet remained to make us laugh and smile spreading joy even in this state of decline.
