He is survived by: his children, Sheree Maddex (late Michael) and Terry Lorek (Thomas); his grandchildren, Michael Maddex (Vincenza), Meghan Rimkus (Ryan), Emily Rebholz (Nicholas) and Jack Finley; and his great grandchildren, Michael Maddex, Giulia Maddex, Ella Brophy, Ava Rimkus and Luke Rimkus.

“To Sheree and Terry My deepest sympathy on the loss of your father, who is my best friend at work for many years and also responsible for my conquering one of the worst addictions a person can have! I have been sober because of him for 41 years and I know he had 10 more than I did and we used to communicate at least once a year by phone, I have been trying to reach him for months and no response because the voicemail was not set up on his phone, I hope he did not suffer at the end!”
