She was predeceased by: her grandson Joel Delgado. She is survived by: her children, Betty Nieves-Velazquez (David), Sonia Perera (Orlando) and Orlando Nieves (Toni); her grandchildren, Alicia Cosme (Joel), Orlando Nieves Jr., Marcos Perera, Ariana Perera and Andres Perera; and her great grandchild Alonzo Cosme. She is also survived by nine loving siblings, many beloved nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home (4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Memories Cemetery E Lake.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Monse's honor to The Alzheimer's Association.
