He was predeceased by : his parents, Nikolaos Georgopoulos and Ekaterini Georgopoulos; and his siblings, Tom (late Voula), Augustino (late Florence) and Dina (Danny).

He is survived by : his spouse Tasia; his children, Katherine, Nicholas and Demetra (Joseph Kuechenmeister); his grandson Steven; and his siblings-in-law, Demosthenes Kontos (Christina Gabrielides) and Stavros Kontos.
