He was predeceased by: his in-laws, Alfred Stepan (Nancy), Paul Stepan (late Ann) and Quinn. He is survived by: his children, Richard, Jr. Wehman (Maria), Mary Louise Kiernan (Robert), Karen Kennedy and Alison McNally (Drew); his grandchildren, Molly, Richard, III (Sarah), Lilly Wehman (Jordan Sauer) of Marilee Kiernan, M. D., Erin Kiernan (Jack Walsh), Stratford, Robert Kennedy, Tatum, Margaret and Wellesley McNally; his great grandchildren, Cormac, Mary Louise "Quinn" Sauer, Theodore "Teddy" and Tate Walsh; and his in-laws, Stratford Stepan (Judy), Charlotte Shea (James) and John Stepan (Bonnie). He is also survived by his children, his grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (1077 Tower Rd, Winnetka, IL 60093). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (601 Lee Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062).
