He was predeceased by: his wife Rosalinda Romero; his daughter Rosalinda Romero; and his parents, Jose Romero and Natalia Romero. He is survived by: his children, Maribel Ruiz, Ricardo Romero and Roberto Romero Jr.; his grandchildren, Mia A. Hussein, Xiomara D. Hussein, Brandon L. Ruiz, Rosalinda M. Ruiz and Aidan R. Ruiz; and his brother Jose G. Romero.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Holy Family Catholic Church (1334 W Flournoy St, Chicago, IL 60607).
