He was predeceased by: his spouse Gail Hand; his child Gail S. Rodriguez (John); his brother Daniel Hand (late Loretta Polley); and his parents, Elmer Hand and Evelyn Hand.

He is survived by: his son Peter Hand; and his grandchildren, Jahmila Rodriguez, John Rodriguez (Cynthia) and Stevie Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
