With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Saramma Thomas of Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 19, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband C. T. Thomas (Appachan); her grandson Alvin; and her siblings, Chinnamma, Kunjamma and Thankachen (N. G. John).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Anna Mathew (Jessie), Thomas Thomas (Rajan), Mary Mathew (Mercy) and Sally Mathew; her sister Pennamma (Ammachi); and her grandchildren, Avin (Serra), Jay (Divya), Jason (Ria), Julie (Dan), Jerry (Betty), Jamie, Bryan and Sarah.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Chicago Mar Thoma Church (240 Potter Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
