Sheila Benjamin Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sheila Benjamin of Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Burton; her children, Miriam Pike (Donald), Andrea Widen (Ronald) and Gail Shaps (Jack Bierig); her grandchildren, Rebecca Pike (Jose Gabriel Pereira) of Oliveira, Rachel Pike (Roy Daniel), Jason Widen (Emily), Ari Widen (Liz Ribordy), Marni Widen, Erica Shaps (Michael Doron) and Jaclyn Shaps (Gregory Sanders); her sister-in-law Gloria Lappe; and her friend Bradley Shaps.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Jewish United Fund (juf.org) or Congregation Beth Shalom (bethshalomnb.org).
