She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Morton Boswell and Mary Edna "Mickey" Dorraugh Boswell; her husband Russ; her grandson Devon Johnson; and her brother Charley Bill.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Brown (Genelle) of Bonaire, Georgia, Joni Lynn Brown of Fanning Springs, Debra Lynn Johnson of Augusta and Shirley Lynn Brown-Berchou (Tom) of Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren, Chad Loseke (Jennifer), Misty Dawn Audette, Martin "Marty" Russell Wise (Amber) and Kenneth Johnson Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Emily, Clayton, Emberlynn and Emerson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Et Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
As Florida National Cemetery does not permit flowers, the family requests donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children, honoring the legacy of work and philanthropy Shirley and Russ championed.
