He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stewart and Rosemary Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Stewart; his children, William, Johnathan (Samantha) and Laura (Adam); his grandchildren, Johnathan and Westley; and his siblings, Terrance (Janice), Noreen (Donald) and Philip.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in William's name to the Alzheimer Association.
