He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald L. and Hazel F. Mercer Sr. (Marshall); his wife Barbara H. Neal; his children, Richard "Rick" D. Mercer (Lisa Repholz) of Morton, IL, Randal "Randy" L. Mercer (Lisa) of Peoria, IL and Christina "Christie" Hannah (Lance) of Chillicothe, IL; and his grandchildren, Erica Harouff (Stephanie) of Andrew Mercer, RJ, Marissa Wenger (Grant), Stephanie Hannah and Ethan Hannah. He was also cherished by five great-grandchildren.
