He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Raye and Lila Merida Homer (Stringer); and his sister Dorothy Abernathy. He is survived by: his wife Josephine Workman; his children, Donna Hess (Steve) of Vero Beach, FL and William Pillman (Sally) of Peoria, IL; his grandchildren, Melissa Guertin of Minneapolis, MN, Laurie of Peoria and Jennifer Pillman of Peoria; and his great grandchildren, Elsie, Jameson, McKell and Maceo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chillicothe American Legion Post #9, 1043 N. 2nd Street, Chillicothe, IL.
