He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph W. Spencer and Dorothy A. Spencer (Salyar); and his brother Wilford. He is survived by: his wife Kenna Landon; his children, Kim Spencer of Sulphur, LA, Dawn Dockery (Terry) of Cleveland, TN, LeeAnn Spencer (Harold Hartley) of Chillicothe, IL and Gary Spencer, Jr. (Stacy Hicks) of Creve Coeur, IL; his grandchildren, Christopher Wheeler (Erica), Cara Johnson (Raymond), Kyle Dockery, Garrett Spencer, Phillip Spencer (Megan McKenrick) and J. D. Spencer; his great grandchildren, Lucas Johnson, Lizzie Spencer and Nolan Wheeler; and his sister Joan Pappapetru of Prump, NV..
