He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wayne "Butch" Tyler and Ruth Vonk (Heitzman-Tyler); his wife Mary Jeanne Tyler (Gaskins); his children, Mark Tyler (Wendy Frey) of Kalamazoo, MI, Sharon Root (Thomas) of Blaine, MN and Erin Olson (Robert) of Falls Church, VA; his granddaughters, Maya and Brenna Root; his stepson Robert Wayne Tyler; and his siblings, Neil Vonk, Nancy Kaelin, Anita Ward, Christina Grafelman (Tebben), Alan Vonk (Luann Morelock) and Lisa Bessler (Jeff).
