He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert William and Eithel Cordelia Jones, Sr. (Nash); his son Mark Jones; and his sisters, Delores Jones and Bessie Hainline.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Ruth Girsch; his daughters, Linda Newcomer (George) of Chillicothe and Karen Jones of Chillicothe; his daughter-in-law Janet Jones of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Kevin Newcomer, Alex Newcomer (Lori), Kelsey Wickham (Andrew), Cailtlin Jones and Alana Jones; and his siblings, Ivan Jones (Christine) and Naomi Davis of Chillicothe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church or the Chillicothe Historical Society.
