He was predeceased by: his sons, Edwin "Eddie" Craig and Evan Ann Manthe; and his stepmother Sandy Manthe. He is survived by: his parents, James Manthe and Ruth Ann Manthe (Jurwich); his wife Jeanne Craig; his stepfather Paul "Dan" Bounds; his brothers, Kirk Manthe (Lorie) and David Manthe; and his nieces and nephews, Ian, Jessica Manthe, Elizabeth and Alexis Manthe. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
