He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Owen and Lillie Belle Norton (Livesay); and his children-in-law, Wes Kellogg and Debbie Norton. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Ackerman; his daughter Nola Norton; and his grandchildren, Christina Thomas (Jerry), Nicholas Norton (Alyssa), Annabelle and William Kellogg. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Lutheran Hillside Village Foundation or to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
