With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Salyars Sr. of Chillicothe, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on February 27, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland and Frances Ann Salyars; his former wife Billie Buttram; and his daughter Cristy Tindall. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Steinseifer of Chillicothe; and his children, Frances Vorgias (Nick) of Canton, Richard Salyars, Jr. (Diane) of Peoria and Nichole Richmond (John) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters and one brother.
Memorials in Richard's memory may be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
