He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Chandler Earl and Anna Maria Mitchell (Bogner); his daughter Heather Johnson (Darrin) of Paris, Illinois; his siblings, Thomas Mitchell (Gina) of Chrisman and Becky Cusick (Jerry) of Paris; and his grandchildren, Ethan Vice of Paris and Ainsley Johnson of Paris.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Chrisman Sons of the American Legion Post #477.
