We are sad to announce that on July 7, 2022, at the age of 95, Gonzala Nevarez Esparza of Coal City, Illinois, born in Monolith, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Jorge Nevarez and Nicasia Nevarez (Arambula); her husband Vicente Esparza; her daughter Engracia Esparza; her siblings, Jose Leon Nevarez, Jesus Nevarez, Francisco Herrera, Paulino Herrera, Juan Herrera, Rito Nevarez, Teresa Herrera, Andrea Herrera and Angelita Nevarez; and her friend Nellie Veronda.
She is survived by : her children, Tony Esparza (Laurie) of Coal City, Manuel Esparza (Debbie) of Braidwood, Al Esparza (Maria) of Coal City, Armondo Esparza (Denise) of Carbon Hill, Angie Mann of Seneca, Art Esparza of Coal City, Louie Esparza (Susan) of Gardner and Lil Esparza (John Grimes) of Wilmington, Illinois; her siblings, Julio Herrera (Lupe) of Coal City, Catarino Herrera (Elena) of Coal City and Mina Palacios (Santiago) of Calumet City, Illinois; and her friend Helen Salazar. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Preferred memorials in Gonzala's memory may be made as gifts to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
