He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Jones and Gertrude Jones (Gainey); and his siblings, Gladys, Johnson, Lois Goetz and Harold Jones.

He is survived by : his wife Janice Matzen; his children, Tammara (Dean Verbeck) and Brian (Candy Jones); his grandchildren, Bridgett Wildermuth (Taylor), Chelsea Verbeck (Jon DeMay), Mason, Alexandra, Logan and Preston Jones; his great grandchild Camille Wildermuth; his sister Doris Beuseling of Milan; and his close friend Angela Caudill of Coal Valley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or Colona Food Pantry.
