He was predeceased by : his parents, Sidney Glen and Lucille Matlick (Lingenfelter); his son Jeffrey Matlick; his grandson Sidney McColl; and his brother Dale Matlick.

He is survived by : his wife Luann Clary; his children, Jamie Ackerland (Scott) of Preemption, Jennifer Matlick of East Moline, Amy Matlick of Davenport, Amanda Gross (Doug) of New Bern and Sara McColl of Coal Valley; his daughter-in-law Darla Matlick of Geneseo; his grandchildren, Taeylor Matlick, Kadie Wilson, Dylan Matlick, Dakota, Wyatt Ackerland, Mason, Montgomery Matlick, Tyler Root (Britt), Devin Bertrand (Emily), Kylee, Ashtyn Vandersnick and Tyler Gross; his great grandchildren, Cayel, Hunter, Gavin, Rylee, McKenzie and Bennett; his siblings, Gilbert Matlick (Rosie) and Terry Matlick (Sheryl); and his brother-in-law Michael Clary. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
