He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Diesselhorst and Emerralda Diesselhorst (Wildhauber); his son Robert Diesselhorst Jr.; and his siblings, Richard, Kenneth Diesselhorst and Sharon Diesselhorst.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ragland; his children, Sharon Diesselhorst, John Mondin of Hillsboro, Denise Wilson of Mt. Olive, Dennis Diesselhorst of Litchfield and Lee Diesselhorst of Hillsboro; and his siblings, David Diesselhorst, Carol Gibbons and Dianne Price. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
