It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Ann Van Meter of Collinsville, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on June 1, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Morrison and Shirley Ann Eaton. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Dickey; her children, Chris Plank of Cahokia, IL, Ronnie Price (Stacy) of Lake St, Tony VanMeter (Stacey) of Cahokia, IL and Brittney Koke (Dylan) of Troy, IL; her stepchildren, Matthew Dickey (Sarah) of Boston, MA, Erin Dickey (Spencer) of Stillwater, OK and Megan Dickey of Arlington, VA; her grandchildren, Derek, Devin, Ricky, Kayla, Aaron, Hannah, Kaden, Mia, Ceci, Bella, Clara and Henry; her siblings, Wayne Eaton (Gina) of Cahokia, IL and Janice Cunningham (Darrell) of St. James, MO; and her half-brother Jimmy Harvey (Carol) of Bullard, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Gail's honor to Second Wind, Treehouse Wildlife Center (animal rescue) or Mid America Transplant Foundation and will be received at the funeral home.
