He was predeceased by: his parents, Denver Mercer and Ida Mercer (Zimmer); and his siblings, Jimmy Mercer, Wayne Mercer, Lynn Mercer, Maggie Luffmann and Pam Mercer.
He is survived by: his children, Desiree Lienemann (Joshua) of Florissant, MO, Lilly Mercer of Granite City, Denver Mercer (Brittney) of Collinsville, Jason Farmworth (Denise) of Glen Carbon and Alex Head (Taylor) of Granite City; and his siblings, Dennis Mercer (Deborah K.) of Champaign, IL and Helen Barnds (Basil) of White Hall, IL.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory (3939 Lake Dr, Granite City, IL 62040).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
