Pita Simoes Rito of Collinsville, Illinois, who passed away on November 16, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joao Simoes Rito and Maria Dom Sucesso Pita; and her siblings, Joao, Lourdes, Julio and Isabel.

She is survived by : her daughter Maria A. Simoes Ramos Van; her grandchildren, Michael Van Hoose (Jamie) and Amy Hamm (Rick); her great grandchildren, Sydney Van Hoose, Katie Van Hoose and Tyler Hamm; and her siblings, Raul and Teresa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Prospect Park United Methodist Church in Fairview Heights, IL, or to Unity Hospice in Collinsville, IL.
