He is survived by: his mother Linda Bruce (Stephens); his sons, Mason Alexander Bruce (Tinara) and Stephen Zachary Garland (Kayleigh); his sister Misti Carroll (Jim); his grandsons, Easton, Gabriel and Jayson; and his close friends, Mike and Alice Carter.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
