He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Wesley Rhymer and Betty Mae Rhymer (Hutchison); and his brother-in-law Tommy Schultz. He is survived by: his wife Tammy L.; his children, Curtis Rhymer (Destiney) of Pennsylvania, Nathan Rhymer (Britney) of Creal Springs, Bridgett Murrie (Tommy) of Vienna and Courtney Hunter (Ezra) of Tunnel Hill, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jude, Sophia, Ryley, Sullivan, Logan, Emmy, Tucker, Ella-Mae and Iris; and his siblings, William Rhymer (Terrie) of Dongola, Illinois, Diane Schultz (Billy) of Cypress and Sue Schultz of Wewahitchka, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
