It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky Lee Simmons of Creal Springs, Illinois, born in Marion, Illinois, who passed away on June 22, 2021, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Bill Edward; and his brother Tony Dewayne Simmons. He is survived by: his mother Maxine Dorothy Simmons (Rametta) of Creal Springs; his brothers, Bill Simmons (Kathy) of West Frankfort, IL, John Simmons (Lisa) of Ewing, IL, Randy Simmons (Dianna) of Creal Springs and Danny Simmons (Brandi) of Creal Springs; and his granddaughter Haley of Marion. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.
Since Rick loved animals so much, the family requests for those who prefer, memorial contributions be given to "St. Francis Care", an animal shelter in Murphysboro, IL. Memorial contributions may be mailed in care of Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 N. Court Street, Marion, IL, 62959.
