She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Elizabeth Byassee (Vaughn) and James Henry Byassee of Creal Springs, IL.; her siblings, Rosella Byassee (Taylor) and James Howard Byassee; her husband Guy H. Peterson of Creal Springs; and her niece Barbara Jane Taylor Cox.
She is survived by: her great-nieces and great-nephews, Elizabeth Byassee Shore (Jeff) of Marion, Amanda Yolonde Byassee Gott (Ashley) of Marion, Margaret Byassee Edmondson (Shawn) of O'Fallon, MO, E. Byassee, Amanda Ross Byassee of Marion and Kevin Cox (Mary) of Arnold, MD; her nieces, Kara Cox Santi of Marion and Cammy Cox Duggins (Mark) of Golconda, IL; her nephew Silas Duggins of Charlotte, NC.; her friends, Jenna (De Mattei) of Marion, David Fletcher of Marion, Caroline (Austin Mallow) of Marion, Gina (De Mattei), Larry Crippen of Mooresville, NC, Dr. Clay, Lety De Mattei of Marion, Johnny De Mattei of Berthoud, CO, Mike, Ronda De Mattei of Marion, J. J., Teresa De Mattei of Centralia, Ed, Gloria Davis of St. Louis, Barbara Bradley of Marion and Sue McCoskey of Marion; and also, Benjamin Shore of St. Louis, MO, Alex of Marion, Jeremy Gott of Marion, Henry, Jason Byassee of Marion, Max Duggins (Natacha) of Charlotte, NC, Samuel Duggins of Long Beach, MS, Victoria Shore of Marion, Evangeline Edmondson of O'Fallon, MO, Jamie of Marion, Rylee, Nico Santi of Marion, Jenna Fletcher, James Byassee (Linda Pinson Byassee) of Marion and Don Byassee of Marion. She is also survived by family members include nephews.
Due to the executive order by the Governor of Illinois and the request of the family, for all those attending the visitation and funeral service inside, the wearing of a face mask and practice of social distancing is required.
