She was predeceased by: her husband Robert R. "Bob" Hoekstra; her daughter Janice Kay Hoekstra; her brothers, Richard Evers (Dorothy "Dottie") and Donald Evers; and her siblings-in-law, Laverne Wagenaar (late Jack) and Donald Hoekstra (Joyce Davids).
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Schutt (Ed), Dale Hoekstra (Joni), Rev. Timothy Hoekstra (Laura) and Daniel Hoekstra (Jana); and her siblings, Chester, Jr. Evers (late Myra), James Evers (late Marilyn), Phyllis Persenaire (late Charles), Sharon VanderWoude (Ken) and Laurel Douma (Martin).
Due to COVID-19, private services will be held.
