It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Patrick Gettig (Crystal Lake, Illinois), born in Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Gettig (Chincholl) and George James Gettig of Topeka Kansas; his wife Mary Christine (Nieman); and his son Matthew Gettig. He is survived by: his brother Michael Haley; and his children, Jonathan (Laura), Andrew (Jenni) and Sarah (Gene). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Although we were unable to visit the past 4 weeks due to the COVID-19 crisis, we hold close memories to carry us through our grief.
