It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Gaffney of Crystal Lake, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Gaffney and Elizabeth Gaffney; his brothers, Joseph, John Robert and Charles Patrick; his daughter Kathleen; and his grandson Gabriel Conrad.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Brown; his children, Kara Congine (Bryon), Kendahl O'Hara (Jeffrey), Krista Conrad (Greg), Kevin Gaffney (Shawna) and Kenneth Sean Gaffney (Alejandra); his grandchildren, Ali, Max, Caz, Gavin Plonczynski, Jake, Riley, Emma, Murphy O'Hara, Quinten, Ella Conrad, Persi and Declan Gaffney of Kenneth Sean; his great grandchildren, Ryder and Zoey Ortiz; his brother H. L. "Larry" Gaffney (Janet) of Springfield, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Virginia Gaffney of Springfield, IL and Theresa Gaffney of Loami, IL.. He is also survived by 5 children and were blessed with 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
