She was predeceased by: her husband Frank D. Volk. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Orkfritz (Scott), Michelle Mannarino (Frank) and Rebecca Guyon (Matthew); her grandchildren, Emilie, Alexis, Nicholas, Francesca, Danny, Patrick, Jocelyn and Dylan; her brother John Thompson; and her parents, Curtis Thompson and Rosemary Thompson (Burns). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (310 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
