She was predeceased by : her parents, Arnold Schlachter and Hedwig Schlachter. She is survived by : her husband Howard A. Fiedler; her son Howie Fiedler; her daughter-in-law Maureen Fiedler; and her siblings, Hedwig Paley and Arnold Schlachter. She is also survived by grandchildren.

She was a devoted member of The Norwegian Fjord Association and The Jo Davies Conservation Foundation.
