She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kolton and Stella Grys; her husband Robert Swiatek; her stepfather Orton Hixson; and her sister Patricia Jacobs.

She is survived by: her sister Sandy Applegate; her niece Stephanie Jacobs; her nephews, Kurtis Jacobs (Mary), Danny Jacobs (Terri), Gregory Jacobs and Joe Jacobs; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Bryan, Jeremy, Christopher, Russell and Allison.
