The passing of Betty Ann Jennings of De Soto, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 93. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Van Jennings; her mother Florence Watson (Brown); and her brothers, James and Bob Wallace. She is survived by: her children, Michael Jennings (Sue) and Rhonda Hooper; and her great grandchildren, Ryan, Ashlyn, Olivia, Claire, Adelaide, Henry and Eleanor. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Meredith Funeral Home (300 S University Ave, Carbondale, IL 62901). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the De Soto City Cemetery (212 S Ash St, De Soto, IL 62924).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Betty's memory consider a donation to the DeSoto First Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
