We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2018, at the age of 92, Dale Eckel (Decatur, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Leah Irene (Weaver) and Everett Glenn Eckel; his spouse Joy Louise Hawkins; his daughters, Sharon LeCates of Decatur and Marilyn Burton (Lester) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Thomas Burton (Sarah), Sarah Rowe (Randy), Nathan Burton (Dawn), Megan LeCates and Larry Huckile; his great grandchildren, Zachary Burton, Sasha Perryman (Trey), Stephanie Rowe (Eric Oestreich), Christina Huckile, James Huckile, Robert LeCates, Aaron LeCates, Alexis, Liam, Jack and Owen Burton; his great great grandchild Corbin Slaymaker; his son-in-law Lee LeCates; his brother Robert Eckel; and his grandchildren, Terry LeCates and Linda Huckile (LeCates).
