It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deborrah Latchison-Lawson (Decatur, Illinois), born in Gilbert, Louisiana, who passed away on May 19, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Memphis Latchi and Erma Ratliff; her husband James Lawson Jr.; her uncle Elder Joseph Latchi; and her siblings, Sylvester Latchi, Kenny Latchi, Audrey Daniels, Lucille Woods, Syliva White and Gloria Parks.

She is survived by : her uncle Elder Jospeh Latchi; her children, LaToya Lawson, Fauziya Asha S. Latchi and Lawson Wells; her siblings, Zonnie Latchi (Faye), Tami Latch, Barbara Latchi, Ricky Latchi, Memphis Latchi, Rufus Latichi, Curtis Latchi, DeWayne Latchi and Michael Latchi; her aunt Pearlene Gipson; her grandson Brilan Cunningham; her nephew Kenneth Latchi; her niece Sharelle Powers; her cousin Michelle "Renae" Latchi; and her close friends, Dr. Overseer Thomas, Margaret Walker, Carolyn Jarrett, Sharolyn Bates and Jeremy Fuller. She is also survived by 32 siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
