He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Peters and Margaret Peters; his siblings, Robert Peters, Daniel Peters (Carolyn), James Peters (Gretchen), Lawrence Peters, Terry Peters (Katherine), John Peters and Margaret Sue Peters; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Sue Peters and Bill Johnson.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Lou Johnson; his sisters-in-law, Clara "Soupy" Peters and Judy Peters; his close friend Franciscan; and his sister MaryAnn Falbe. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calendar St Francis of Assisi Church (4849 Laverna Rd, Springfield, IL 62707).
