Christine Tranos Arhos Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christine Tranos Arhos of DeKalb, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Christine Tranos Arhos to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Athanasios G. Arhos (Tom); her parents, Konstantinos Tranos and Georgia Tranos (Voutselakos); and her siblings, Panagioti Tranos (Rina), Pantelis Tranos (Katerina), Vassiliki Psarologos (Antonis) and George Tranos (Ourania).
She is survived by: her children, Stavroula Arhos (Voula), Dean Arhos (Agni Kistios) and Athena Arhos Apostolopoulos (Ron); her grandchildren, Patricia (Aubery), Christine, Elanna (Jack), Konstantine, Yianni, Athanasios and Alexander; and her siblings, Maria Haramis (late George) and Ioannis Tranos (Eleni). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (2011 S 4th St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (320 S 2nd St, DeKalb, IL 60115).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine's memory to St. George Greek Orthodox Church (320 S. 2nd St., DeKalb, IL 60115) or the Greek American Rehabilitation and Care Centre (220 1st St., Wheeling, IL 60090).
